Today's Devotion 7 August 2017
Peace

The world presents each of us an endless series of problems. As soon as we have master one another problems comes around to challenge us and we soon realized our relief was short lived. As humans, we are all trying to figure things out in order to become masters over the problems. God's peace is not a goal nor hidden in some complex message. His peace is always around us. He envelope us in His peace. Peace is not an understand but a trust that we have in God. As soon as we seek out God we will have peace. When God is for you, who can be against you?

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."- Romans 5:1

"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you."
- 2 Thessalonians 3:6

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
