Today's Devotion 6 August 2017
Affirm Your Trust In God

When things go wrong or bad, stop and affirm your trust in God. Leave the bad moment with God's capable hands. God will carry us through the day. Check in with God throughout the day with small thankful prayers as you release the bad and wrong onto God for He is great and will gladly take your pain, suffering and bad moment for you. He loves you, His sons and daughters so much and know that He is here for you whenever you need Him.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
- Philippians 4:13

"For nothing is impossible with God." -Luke 1:37

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
