Today's Devotion 4 Sept 2017
Be Safe with God
In closeness to God, you will be safe. Being close to God will energized you. No matter where you live or travel, by having God in you life you will know His love. Today too many people are experiencing an emptiness that God can only fill. When you allow God into your life you become blessed. With God by you, together you will push back the darkness for God is the light of the world.
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.'" - John 8:12
"And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ." -Romans 1:6

The resurrection of Jesus signifies new life, not just for Him but for all who believe in Him. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross
On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.
Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”
Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
