Today's Devotion 31 August 2017
Grow Strong in God

Grow strong in God and in your trust in Him. Our gift of frailty is not a punishment rather it open the opportunity to grow strong in God. You must live by faith and let God guide you through the day. Lean on God rather than your own understanding. Our natural tendencies is to plan out our day and know what will happen but when you focus on that you lose focus on God. Depend on God and He will never disappoint you. Let God guide you and strengthen you when you need it. Let us grow strong in God.

"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding." -Proverbs 3:5

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
