Today's Devotion 24 July 2017
Thankfulness

Being thankful open the doors to God's presence. Thankfulness is one of the great gifts God gave mankind and being thankful is built on trust. When we allow thankfulness to flow from our lips, our gratitude draws us closer to God. We need to learn to give praise and thanks in all circumstances. God wants to shower us with blessings and we need to say thank you God for all that you do- great and small. So today you need to see how many times you can thank you God.

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name." - Psalm 100:4

What the Resurrection Means for Us

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
