Today's Devotion 22 August 2017
Don't Afraid

Trust God and do not be afraid. When you are afraid turn towards God and reaffirm your trust in Him. Do not let fear conquer you nor let it take you away from God. Speak out loud to God and refresh in His Holy presence. Sing praises to God and feel His Face shine radiantly upon you. There is no condemnation for those who belong to God Trust in God and do not be afraid for He is you strength and salvation.

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." -Romans 8:1-2

"Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation." -Isaiah 12:2

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
