Today's Devotion 2 Sept 2017
Depend on God

Live in dependence of God. Most people run around trying to accomplish things with their own strength and ability. Some may succeed and others may fail but both miss what life is meant to be- living and working in collaboration with God.
When we depend on God, our perspective changes. You will see miracles around you as you begin your day with joy, watching to see what God can do next for God is great and full of wonder. He wants us to want Him in our lives so let us invite God to lead us as we depend of God for all.

"For in Him we live and move and have our being."- Acts 17:28

"On that day you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." -John 14:20

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
