Today's Devotion 18 Jun 2017
Hope & Future

God tells us that our hope and future are rooted in Heaven. Let nothing rob us of our hope and joy and happiness with our Father God. He plans for us to prosper and never intends to harm us. Stay close to our Father God as He walks with you. Today as all days, He is to be honor about all and above everything. Let us put our trust in Him as He walks besides us as He leads us to our hope and future.

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps" - Proverbs 16:9

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans, to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

"Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him."
- Ephesians 1:4

What the Resurrection Means for Us

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
