Self-Pity
 
Self-pity is a bottomless pit that will suck you in and once you are in the deeper you tend to go. Yet, God's light can shine through the darkness of your pit and will reach you. Place your hope in God when you feel yourself beginning to slip into self-pity. When we turn to God we can rise out of the pit into God's loving arms. God will cover you with His ultimate righteousness and keep you safe. Turn to God for He is there for you and will always be there for you. God's love is immeasurable and will reach you no matter where you are.
 
"Why are you in despair? O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence." -Psalm 42:5
