Today's Devotion 15 Jun 2017
Open Your Eyes

God is around us all the time and all we have to do is open our eyes to see Him. Today we have to many distractions that close our eyes and minds. We become focus on the physical and material world and we turn our time from God to other things. Our goal is become better listeners and open our eyes to the wonders of God.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"
- 2 Corinthians 4:18

"Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law" - Psalm 119:18

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
