Today's Devotion 14 June 2017: Everlasting Love

June 14, 2017

Today's Devotion 14 June 2017:
Everlasting Love
God has always pursued us, wanting to give us His love. He loves you with an everlasting love and we need to know that. He is forgiving and waiting to uplift us so just seek Him out. You can draw others to light once they see God's love for us and your love for Him.

"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness" - Jeremiah 31:3

"I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God." - Isaiah 61:10

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" - 1 Peter 2:9

This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross

On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
