Today's Devotion 10 Feb 2018
Open Heart
Come to God with an open heart and empty hands and be ready to receive the abundant blessings He has in store for you. He knows the depth of your needs. He understands that your path has been difficult, which has drained your strength. Come to God to be refreshed and for nurture. Let Him fill you up with His Presence so that you can continue on your life path. God is there with you so receive His strength and His blessings as you do His Will. God wants to shower you with blessings, but you must do these things: Seek His Face, come with open hearts, and be willing to do His will and not your own. When you do, you will see God work miracles in you life. Say to God, “I will do Your Will always.”
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”- Isaiah 40:31 NIV

The resurrection of Jesus signifies new life, not just for Him but for all who believe in Him. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross
On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.
Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”
Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
