Today's Devotion 1 Sept 2017
Always Seek God First
Let us always seek out God first with our whole being. When things are going great we feel blessed and know that His light is shining down on us. However, when things are bad we tend to abandon God. But it is during these times that we need to seek God. God is always with you; through the bad and through the good so let us always seek out God and feel Him watching over us.
"The Lord watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy." Psalm145:20
"The Lord will keep you from all harm-He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." -Psalm 121:7-8

The resurrection of Jesus signifies new life, not just for Him but for all who believe in Him. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
This truth inspires us at Faith Defines Us to live boldly in our faith. Because Jesus lives, we are called to walk in His victory, share His love, and be a light to the world. Easter is a reminder that no matter how dark the circumstances, God’s power and promises are greater.

The Power of the Cross
On Good Friday, we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ — the day when God’s plan for redemption reached its most painful yet triumphant moment. Jesus bore the weight of our sins, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we could have eternal life.
Isaiah 53:5 reminds us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”
Good Friday is not just a commemoration of Christ’s death; it’s a celebration of the love that made it possible. It’s a reminder that our Savior willingly endured the cross for each of us.
